John Intondi,
CPCU
Executive Vice President, AXIS Insurance Claims Director

John is responsible for the management of all North America claims activities. Prior to joining AXIS, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Claim Officer at Combined Specialty Group's P&C division, RSUI, ACE USA and Westchester Specialty Group. Earlier in his career, John held a variety of claim positions while employed by Crum and Forster, Western World Insurance Company and Consolidated Mutual Insurance Company. John is the AXIS representative to the International Association of Claim Professionals (fka the Excess and Surplus Lines Claims Association). He is also an active member of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel (FDCC) and serves on the faculty for their Litigation Management College and Graduate School.

David Hart, Esq.
Senior Vice President, Claims Manager — Casualty

David joined AXIS Claims in 2003 and has responsibility for all U.S. casualty claims, both primary and excess. Previously, he had worked five years at Royal Specialty Underwriting Inc. as an Assistant Vice President of Excess and Surplus claims. During David's tenure at Royal, he handled commercial lines excess liability claims throughout the United States. Before that David was with Home Insurance Company, where he served as a Litigation Specialist responsible for handling significant exposure liability claims throughout the state of Florida. David formerly was a claims attorney working with the Florida League of Cities' self-insured liability and workers' compensation programs. He began his career practicing law in Central Florida where he maintains his membership in the Florida Bar and is a licensed attorney authorized to engage in the practice of law in that state.

Kenneth Mullins, CPCU
Senior Vice President, Claims Manager — Property

Ken joined AXIS Claims in 2003 and is responsible for the management of all U.S. property claims. Prior to joining AXIS, he was Vice President of Property Claims at Combined Specialty Group. Before that Ken spent 23 years with GAB Robins as a multiline Loss Adjuster, with five years as Branch Operations Manager and 10 years as National Account Manager. He is also a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society.

Frederick M. Zauderer, Esq.
Senior Vice President, Claims Manager — Professional Lines

Fred brings over 30 years of experience to bear in managing a team of 17 claims attorneys who handle D&O Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Financial Institutions, Fidelity/Crime and other professional lines claims. Prior to joining AXIS, he held various claims management positions at Travelers, Gulf, Kemper, Reliance and Chubb. Fred is an attorney licensed in New York. He is also Vice-Chair of the Professionals, Officers, and Directors Liability Committee of the Tort, Insurance and Trial Practice Section of the American Bar Association.

Howard Sulzman, CPCU
Vice President, U.S. Reinsurance Claims

Howard Sulzman manages the New York office as Vice President, AXIS Re U.S. Claims.  He has extensive experience handling complex claim issues in most lines of business involving both Reinsurance and Insurance.  In addition, Howard has significant experience in claims administration, operation management, best-practice protocols, due diligence and claim operational reviews.  Before joining AXIS, Howard held a variety of senior management positions with Swiss Re over a period spanning 20 years and was the founding principal of World-Class Claims Management which provided claims strategies and solutions to insurance and reinsurance clients.

Rohit Trivedi, FCIP, CSSC, CRM, CIM
Vice President, Canadian Claims

Rohit joined AXIS in 2010 to establish our insurance claims operation in Canada. He has over 30 years of industry experience and previously was with Munich Re Group where he established and led the claims department from its inception for their primary arm, Temple Insurance. He formerly was with GAN Canada where he served as National Casualty Claims Manager and then later as Reinsurance Treaty Supervisor. He also previously held positions at Royal & Sun Alliance.

Robert Bielaus, Esq.
Vice President, Claims Manager — Professional Lines D&O

Bob serves as Claims Manager for D&O Liability and related products. Prior to joining AXIS in 2006, he held various claims and underwriting positions at Munich Re America, AEGIS Insurance Services, Chubb Insurance and Continental Insurance. He has more than 20 years of insurance and related experience. Bob began his career with a New York City law firm.

Brian Kristiansen, Esq.
Vice President, Claims Manager — Professional Lines D&O

Brian has responsibility for claims made under primary D&O and Lawyers' and Accountants' E&O policies. Prior to joining AXIS in 2009, He was with Chubb for 18 years where he served in a variety of claims management and technical positions, most recently as the deputy manager of Chubb's Specialty Claim Department. He previously was an attorney with D'Amato & Lynch in New York. Brian is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York and is a member of the American Bar Association.

Stephen Lajewski
Vice President, Property Claims

Stephen joined AXIS Claims in 2003. As Vice President of Property Claims, he handles newly reported excess and primary property losses and assists in the running of the property claims group. Prior to joining AXIS, Stephen was Assistant Vice President with the Fireman's Fund/Interstate Group of insurance companies and had previously been a property adjuster at Chubb.

Michael Lein
Vice President, U.S. Reinsurance Claims

Michael Lein has over 28 years of experience handling primary, excess and reinsurance claims. He handled claims for Liberty Mutual and managed insurance claims programs for Cambridge Integrated Services (Aon Corp). His reinsurance claims experience includes claims and account management at American Re-Insurance and most recently at XL Reinsurance America. He earned a BS degree from St. John University.

Joanne Lloyd-Bragg, Esq.
Vice President, Claims Manager — Professional Lines EPL

Joanne specializes in managing EPL claims. Prior to joining AXIS in 2003, she was a Claims Examiner for Chubb Insurance where she handled a diverse range of specialty claims. Previously, Joanne had been with AIG. She is a member of the New Jersey and the New York State Bars.

Robert D. Lystad, Esq.
Vice President, Claims Manager — AXIS PRO

Bob manages the professional liability line of claims at AXIS PRO, including media and entertainment claims, miscellaneous E&O claims and cyber/technology claims. Prior to joining AXIS PRO (previously known as Media/Professional Insurance) in 2006, Bob spent 16 years in the Washington, D.C. office of Baker & Hostetler, where he concentrated on media and intellectual property litigation. He was ranked as one of the nation's top attorneys in the Media & Entertainment industry in Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers (2006). Bob also is an active member of the Media Law Resource Center and the American Bar Association Forum on Communications Law. He is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and the University of Chicago Law School, and is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland bars.

Ronald Moore, CPCU
Vice President, U.S. Reinsurance Claims

Ronald Moore joined the AXIS U.S. Reinsurance Claims Department in April 2005 and he currently handles casualty lines reinsurance claims. His claims experience spans over 30 years, of which the last 15 have been senior positions with reinsurance companies and with broker Gallagher Re. Ron assists the department manager with the processing of claims and audits. He holds both the CPCU professional designation and an MBA degree.

Russell Musgrove, CPCU
Vice President, Claims Manager — MGA Claims

Russ is responsible for the management of claims arising from policies offered through our managing general agencies located throughout the United States. Prior to joining AXIS, he was Assistant Vice President and General Manager for GAB Robins North America. Russ' 23 years of experience has included serving as Claims Manager with EMC Insurance Companies and various positions with Aetna Life and Casualty. He is past president of the Atlanta Claims Association and a member of the Atlanta Chapter of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters Society.

Harold Neher
Vice President, Claims Manager — Professional Lines Fiduciary and D&O

Harold handles complex D&O Liability and Financial Institutions E&O matters in addition to supervising Fiduciary Liability claims. Prior to joining AXIS in 2006, he was with Gulf Insurance and Travelers handling both D&O and E&O for almost three years. Harold also previously spent seven years at Risk Enterprise Management involved in D&O, MPL and Complex Casualty claims, and seven years prior to that in private practice defending professional liability insureds.
