 Richard T. Gieryn has been General Counsel since April 2006. From January 2003 to April 2006, he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel of AXIS U.S. Insurance. He joined AXIS U.S. Insurance from Combined Specialty Group, Inc. in January 2003 with over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Mr. Gieryn was General Counsel and Secretary at Combined Specialty Group, Inc from 2002 to January 2003. From 2001 to 2002 he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel at ACE INA Holdings, Inc. Mr. Gieryn was Executive Vice President and General Counsel at ACE USA, Inc. from 1998 to 2002. He served in the same capacity at Westchester Specialty Group from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Gieryn began his career at Drew, Eckl & Farnham, LLP where he became an equity partner.
